"I love the Lord, for He heard my voice;

He heard my cry for mercy.

Because He turned His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live.

The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me;

I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.  Then I called on the name of the Lord: 'O Lord, save me!'

The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.

The Lord protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, He saved me.

Be at rest once more, O my soul,

for the Lord has been good to you.

For You, O Lord, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,

that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living."  psalm 116:1-9

i want to speak in faith these verses over a lady that lies in a hospital somewhere in the city of Chicago tonight.

i was on my way home so that Karen and I could head to a meeting our church was having on HEALING, and heard this lady get hit by a car!

she was on her bicycle, and i was right there with her until the ambulance arrived.  she had a very bad head injury but was conscious the whole time.

i am trying to get the word out to people who will pray and speak life over this dear lady...

when i got to the class we all prayed for her together and tonight one of the girls who attends was physically healed from pain she's had her whole life.  her leg was lengthened, her foot was lengthened, her back was healed, she was crying and praising God.  it happened.

God can do ANYthing, by faith.

and i stand on Your Word, Father, for this woman.  let her cry out to You and be saved.  let her be saved, delivered and HEALED in Jesus' name.  because of what He accomplished on the cross, i speak Your life and breath and healing all over this woman tonight...do Your thing, Father..in Jesus' name i pray,

amen.

better is one day in the house of my God, than a thousand days anywhere else~

it's true, it's true it is so very true.

i would rather be a doorkeeper in His house, than dwell in the castles and circles of the wicked.  i love to dwell in His house.  my inheritance is great.  if nothing else good ever happens to me, my cup is OVERFLOWING, to be welcomed in His house.   today i FEEL it so strong.  the presence of God is tangible, & within reach of  every man...i believe this.

"God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us."  acts 17:27

HalleluJah.  my Father's God, and my own.

"The blessing of the Lord--it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it]."

do you ever change the way that you write a number or letter?

like a horseshoe "u" instead of with the line coming back down.

or a 2 like [that] instead of a curvy one?

i like doing that.  and how the brain works real hard to remember the change.

 :)

i'm at the public library right now and this Mom is trying hard to get her son to whisper to her, but i don't think he has a grasp on how to do that.  she seemed kind of nervous about it, but he is just as carefree and happy as can be.  kinda cute.  i love kids~

Okay, i just had a long conversation with my roomie Karen and then checked my Xanga site.  reread a bit of that last post and have to say for the sake of honesty and transparency...

part of me agrees with what i wrote.  truly and fully.

but i am WORKING through some stuff...and so if you had heard my last conversation, you'd be like, "really Heidi?  hope for life, huh??"

:)

[words are easier typed than lived, you know?]

but i believe that Love wins.  in the end, love wins.  and these three REMAIN: faith, hope and love~and i may be in a messy part of the journey, but i'm still here, and God will never leave me or forsake me, so i carry on in this HOPE...

and so there, now that's said.

sweet dreams~

it was on this day...

fallchicago09 028

in this room, that we got the idea.

Karen wanted to take Brittney and I downtown last weekend.  We got to see some AWEsome sites (sights???) in the city.  and this lovely room in the downtown Chicago Public Library.  where we got the idea to do a murder mystery dinner party!!!

doesn't this room make you think of the game Clue?

fallchicago09 026 fallchicago09 027

anyway...we planned it and did it last night in our little apartment.  was a whole lot of fun, too.  i was "Rose Cavanaugh Booth" who worked for Vogue magazine.  <did they have that in the 40s?  it was set in the 40s. >

it was lots of fun watching personalities come out with all of the different roles.  and some of the costumes were really well done.  but i couldn't find my camera until guys had left.  :(  oh well.

_______________________________

today i was discussing "Revolutionary Road" with friends and felt that i was a little harsh in my previous review.  Dan (who is studying film and probably has much more right to give a real critique) also didn't like the movie.  but he said Kate Winslet did an awesome job acting.

i think it was just the message of the movie that made me not like it so much (and it is rated R for good reason).

i am about to finish Francis Schaeffer's "He is There and He is Not Silent" and in chapter 4 he talks about the reason that everything must have the foundational ideas of the God of the Bible or they will eventually unravel.  relationships included...and he gives a better explanation and defense of this bold "statement" than i will try to recreate here.  One quote to give part of the idea:

"But with God's norms of truth, morals, values, and knowing, we have tracks (or to use a better analogy, a North Star) which give unity to the internal and external world.  God's norms not only give unity, but they provide a bridge between these two worlds.  This applies both for ourselves and then to get down inside each other.  When we step from the external to the internal world of thought, we are not on a sea without a shore either in regard to ourselves or in regard to the woman or the man who stands before us."

real and LASTING love is possible because the God who IS THERE is real, is love and made us in His image.  and HE is a Rock.

so have hope for marriage, okay?  even if you don't want to get married, know that if you did, you could be oh so very happy.  and God could get you through the tough times, and give you years that were filled with JOY.   [my parent's marriage is proof of this].  whether you lived in Paris, Moscow or Ottumwa, IA.

and have hope for other relationships, too.  have hope for life.  because God has not left us alone.

and if you'll let Him save you, the besT is yet to come.

o happy day.  :)
